I have struggled with my weight and self confidence my whole life. I was very overweight as a child and by high school I decided it was time to lose weight. I bought into the “eat less calories and do as much cardio as possible” idea. I quickly lost about fifty pounds and was dangerously close to taking it too far. In college I went through a hard time and turned to food for comfort, rapidly gaining all the weight back… plus more. I felt horrible, but didn’t know how to stop myself from eating. I had deprived myself of food for so long, I no longer knew how to have a normal relationship with it. I would go to extreme measures to try and undo the damage. I would have some good days and then just fall right back into the same cycle. I lost control.
I went through this for years. A little over a year ago I finally found Brittany’s Instagram account and read about her story. So much of her story connected with me, and through her, I finally saw a way out! I decided I needed to reach out to her for help. After contacting her I started my first plan.
The idea of counting macros made complete sense to me, and having an actual plan to stick to with no restrictions helped me gain control over my eating. I had never even touched weights in a gym before and had no idea what I was doing, but I figured it out as I went along. And I absolutely love weight lifting now! It is my favorite part of the day!
I have lost over 30 pounds (the healthy way) since starting with Brittany. I can feel my confidence growing by the day! I also actually have muscles now, so that doesn’t hurt! I still have a long way to go on my journey and still have some off days, but with Brittany’s help and support, I finally feel freedom from the food battle and I know I will reach my goals!
Training with Brittany truly was the best decision I ever made!
