Hey there, guys!
I hope you’re all having the best holiday season! I have to confess, I’m not even close to being done with my holiday shopping… If you’re anything like me, you’re a “last minute” kind of girl. A lot of people hate the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, but to be honest, there is something I truly love about presents at Christmas time. It’s such a GIFT to have people in your life that you want to share gifts, love, and time with. So as you’re out and about, rushing the malls (or maybe Amazon- yes please)… Remember not to take for granted that you have this incredible life and resources to share with others! I, for one, love the look on their faces when they open that special something. EMBRACE AND ENJOY it! It only happens once a year.
But, reality check! In between all that craziness… It’s hard to get a sweat in! So I’m back again this week with my GIFT TO YOU- an easy at home workout. AND… Wait for it… I’m also going to give you a link for my favorite workout classes incase you decide you want to grab your friend, mom, or sister and go sweat it out in a great community after you hit the shops. Accountability is EVERYTHING. So there are times that you may need to just make a plan in between your other plans, grab a friend, and get in there with other people that have likeminded goals for themselves.
First, I’m going to “gift” you with my favorite “at home” quads, glutes, and hamstrings workout! Set that alarm clock just a little earlier than normal for your daily grind, and make sure to take care of yourself before you run and out and think of all the other people on your list.
→ Means superset!
Warm Up: ½ mile run (time it, sister) or 5 minutes of light jogging
- Goblet Squat: 20, 15, 12, 10 → Reverse Lunges: 4×12 → Tuck Jump: 4×10
- Box Step Ups with a Kickback: 3×12 (per leg) → Pistol Squats: 3×12
- Hip Thrust: 5×12 → Bodyweight Plyo Hip Thrust: 5×15
- Stiff Legged Dumbbell Deadlift: 20, 18, 15, 12, 18, 20
- Finish with 15 minutes of HIIT and stretching
Note: Your HIIT can be performed on a treadmill, outside for sprints, with a jump rope, or on the elliptical → I highly recommend jamming out to your favorite Christmas jingles for a more enjoyable HIIT… Maybe even dance a little at each 5-minute interval.
Like I said… Sometimes during this time of year, it takes a little more motivation to get that workout in. So make it fun for yourself and the people around you. Grab your favorite girl, and do an awesome class together. For all you Dallas babes, Paradigm Gym is a great go-to for me! Their message is “Find Your Balance,” which is EXACTLY what I want for each of you… Especially during this time of year! Their classes range in style AND (most importantly) times. So for those of you who are early risers or night owls, they have something for everyone. Click the link below for more information. And who knows? Maybe I will even see you there between my own Holiday shopping.
I hope you enjoy my gifts to you! Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you choose to get your sweat in at home with this easy “at home” workout or whether you decide to try out Paradigm Gym. Take care of yourself so you can take care of those you love, babe.
Keep growing and glowing.
